چکیده
We obtain the steady-state phase diagram of a transverse-field XY spin chain coupled at its ends to magnetic reservoirs held different potentials. In long-time limit, magnetization bias across system generates current-carrying nonequilibrium steady state. characterize phases as functions chain's parameters and potentials, in terms their correlation entanglement content. The mixed-order transition, previously observed for case Ising chain, is established emerge generic feature wider class out-of-equilibrium problems. critical exponents associated with this universality are determined analytically. Results also contrasted those obtained limit Markovian reservoirs. Our findings should prove helpful establishing properties transitions extended open quantum systems.

Phase Transitions in a Nonequilibrium Percolation Model
We investigate the percolation properties of a two–state (occupied – empty) cellular automaton, where at each time step a cluster of occupied sites is removed and the same number of randomly chosen empty sites are occupied again. We find a finite region of critical behavior, formation of synchronized stripes, additional phase transitions, as well as violation of the usual finite– size scaling a...

متن کاملPhase Transitions in Nonequilibrium Systems
Collective phenomena in systems far from thermal equilibrium have been a subject of extensive studies in recent years. Usually these systems are driven out of equilibrium by external fields, such as electric field in the case of conductors, pressure gradient in the case of fluids, temperature gradient in the case of heat conductors, chemical potential gradient in the case of growth problems and...

The band theory of electrons predicts that any crystal with an odd number of electrons per unit cell must be a metal. However, strong electron-electron interactions can invalidate this conclusion, and such crystals can also be insulators, known as Mott insulators. I will use this term here more broadly: often the Mott insulator has a secondary instability to spin or charge ordering which increa...
